Testing for Developers gives you a practical, developer-focused approach to software testing, enabling you to build quality into your code from the start. You will learn to think like a tester, choose the right level of testing, and design effective tests that reduce defects, test debt, and risk throughout the development process.

Throughout the course, we work with quality assurance from a developer’s perspective. You will gain practical methods, techniques, and tools that help you test smarter – before, during, and after writing code.

The course gives you a stronger understanding of how testing can be actively integrated into software development, allowing you not only to identify defects but also to prevent them. You will learn how to work systematically with component testing, API testing, GUI testing, static testing, CI/CD, and risk-based testing.

Prerequisites

We recommend that you have experience with software development and a basic understanding of common development processes. You do not need a background in software testing, although previous experience with automated testing or code reviews is an advantage.

The course is based on practical situations from a developer’s day-to-day work and does not require ISTQB certification.

Course format

The course is delivered as an intensive two-day programme combining theory, practical exercises, reflection, and discussion.

The training is based on real-world examples from modern software development, with participants working hands-on with test design, test levels, test automation, and quality assurance.

The course places a strong emphasis on active participation, giving you the opportunity to apply the methods directly to your own day-to-day work as a developer.
